Add a black blazer or cardigan over a summer office outfit.
This tones down the summery appearance of your outfit by adding the shadow of a black piece while you are in an air-conditioned environment. And yet when you walk out the door into the hot and sunny end-of-summer weather, you can just whip off the blazer or cardi and keep your cool!
You can continue to wear your summer outfits into fall, while the dark color of the topper gives it a feeling of seriousness and cooler seasons. Once the weather gets chilly, just add tights, boots, and maybe a scarf.
