How to Be Comfortable Yet Sexy in Your Pajamas
I had a request from a reader who is a dear friend to do a post on how to be comfortable yet sexy in pajamas. I don’t wear much as far as pajamas go…just a sleep shirt or a robe for around the house. So it took me awhile to figure out what to say.
When I finally sat down to research this, it became apparent that comfortable and sexy are not exclusive. The elements that give your day clothes a sexy vibe are the same for sleep and lounge clothes. Take a comfortable pajama and add one or more of these elements to make it sexy.
Age doesn’t matter. Just choose what looks best on you.
So let’s take a look at what works. I discovered over seven ways to be comfortable yet sexy in your pajamas!
How to Be Comfortable Yet Sexy in Your Pajamas:
SEXY COLORS TO WEAR
Black, red and pink are sexy colors.
CURL UP IN LEOPARD PRINT
We all know leopard print is sexy no matter how conservatively you wear it. In fact, any animal print is allowed in the bedroom. 😉
LUXURIATE IN SOFT TEXTURES
Silk and satin are touchable. A long satin robe is glamorous and covers you where you need it…or doesn’t when you don’t need it.
Soft and cuddly materials are comfortable, feminine and touchable. Try velour or velvet.
FLAUNT A SLEEP CAMISOLE
A lace-edged and/or silk camisole sleep top is just as sexy to sleep in as to wear to evening events. You can add sleep pants in a fine material. Or wear the cami under your robe, or under menswear pajamas with the top unbuttoned.
FINISH WITH SEXY SLIPPERS
Kitten-heel slippers are the sexy footwear of choice since at least the 1920’s, especially with feather puffs! You can also get flat beaded, sequined slippers in metallics, etc.
SHOW SOME SKIN
Show some skin: capri bottoms, shorts sets, low necklines, sleeveless, cold shoulder, gowns with a slit, etc.
Sheerness covers bare skin, and even a little bit of mesh or lace is flirty.
WEAR GLAMOROUS COVERUPS FOR COMFORT
You can always wear a robe or comfortable flowing lounge cardigan wrap as a cover for your sexy lingerie. Choosing something in a luxurious fabric or edged in feathers keeps your look sexy without exposing your body.
Another option is topping a long nightgown with a beautiful duster from your daytime or evening wardrobe.
Did this help you to choose something new to wear, or to wear something in a new way? What kind of pajamas do you wear when you want to be flirty but still comfortable? Let us know by leaving a comment below!

Angie
I don’t wear pajamas because I’m so short, and the pants are always waaaaay too long. But the teal satin Carol Wright chemise is just my style!
Nightgowns are just as good or better than two-piece pajamas. I have a few night shirts from Victoria’s Secret I really like!
I absolutely LOVE those leopard print pajamas! They look so comfy!
I have a pair of velvet leopard-print pajama pants that I wear to bed, around the house and out day and evening all year round. They are always comfortable and look good.
