2 Vitamin C Skin Care Products That Will Blow Your Mind
Vitamin C products: V11 & Korres Rose Oil
Once you use one of these two products, you know what? When you take a look at your skin, age doesn’t matter so much anymore! That’s why I think these are products that will blow your mind. ;D
At the 1st Annual Influencers of Midlife Summit a few months back, I received some sample products in a goodie bag to take home. Two of the products were vitamin C-based skin treatments: V11 Total Care Serum and Korres Rose Oil. As I have sensitive skin, I was careful to test them before using. Once I felt assured, I went ahead and used the bottles up until they were empty. They were a pleasure to use and effective as well. Since I had such good results, I thought you might like to know about how these particular products work.
In the process of trying these vitamin-C based products, I learned a thing or two about the effects of vitamin C on the skin.
First, vitamin C is an important part of collagen production. That’s what is lost during the aging process and causes sagging and wrinkling. So if you’re over 60, (or even before that) boosting collagen is a no brainer.
According to Oregon State University’s Linus Pauling Institute Micronutrient Information Center:
“The antioxidant properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for skin health. Dietary and topical ascorbic acid have beneficial effects on skin cells, and some studies have shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV)-induced photodamage.”
The following products are pricey, but you only use a few drops at a time. So they actually seem to last forever — well almost! 😀
V11 Total Care Serum, the 1-day Game Changer? Yes!
I was shocked to see the difference in how clear and beautiful my skin looked the evening after I applied it the very first day.
And, I’m happy to report that it was tested and passed 11 sensitive skin conditions. Make that 12, because it passed my sensitive skin test too!
It contains Fullerene which won a Nobel prize for chemistry shield pure vitamin C 11%.
On me, it faded brown spots and clarified and brightened my skin tone. After use, I didn’t notice fine lines that I’d noticed before. I also noticed that it kept me protected from the environment. My pores stayed clear and didn’t clog up from heat, humidity or pollution as it has a tendency to do since it is sensitive to outside factors.
The serum doesn’t spread across the skin as one would normally expect. It is slightly sticky, so I had to pat it on instead of smoothing it over. It soaked right in. It wasn’t thick or oily.

Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Oil: Does it live up to its claims? Yes!
Korres says this is “a powerful brightening oil infused with real rose petals and boosted with Super Vitamin C, 1000% more stable than pure ascorbic acid, for glowing, radiant skin.”
On their website, Korres claims that after a 4-week self-evaluation: – 100% of testers said their skin was softer – 100% said their skin texture and elasticity was improved – 97% said their skin looked younger and healthier – 84% said their skin was more radiant/brighter.
It is good for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
This rose oil accomplished all of that for me, and I would agree that it occurred in the percentages reported above. In other words, my skin was 100% softer and had better texture and elasticity; my skin looked much younger and healthier; and my skin was 84% more radiant/brighter with use.
After reading up on various methods of application, I decided to mix three drops of Korres Rose Oil into my nighttime moisturizer. It was easy to spread over the skin and there was always extra left over to moisturize my neck and decolletage as well.
What I liked the best was that this oil restored suppleness and elasticity to my face and neck so that when I woke up in the mornings I was no longer seeing creases from the pillow on my face. 😀 I had been using silk pillow cases, but this rose oil protected my skin way more, as well as improving my skin. I already had only a few wrinkles occurring naturally, but this oil made the few wrinkles I had disappear almost completely.
If you would like to know a little more about Korres Wild Rose Brightening Oil, here is what the brand says:
