How to Wear Sweatpants When You’re Not at the Gym
Sweatpants can be part of a stylish outfit whether around the house or out on the town. You can be comfortable and look great at the same time. Age doesn’t matter. In this post, I have plenty of ideas for you for how to wear sweatpants when you’re not at the gym.
Because of it’s lasting popularity, athleisure has now become a classic style. You can buy luxe athletic clothes or dress up athletic clothes that you already own. In this post, I will explore how to embellish your sweatpants.
Here’s what one retail analyst told Vogue Business:
“We are reluctant to continue calling [athleisure] a trend… much in the same way that denim is not a trend,” said Mintel retail analyst Chana Baram. “Rather, sports clothing is embedded in the fashion world.” – from Vogue Business
No matter where you go, day or night, or even if you want to lounge at home looking classy, not frumpy — you can wear sweatpants and look great doing it! Add a special top, topper, scarf, jewelry and/or footwear for a modern and stylish look. Mix and match your sweatpants with evening wear or business clothes. Those pieces that you save for special occasions can be made wearable any time by combining them with sweatpants. So let’s take a look at how to wear sweatpants when you’re not at the gym!

Angie
Angie, there is so much great style inspiration here! I have been living in sweatpants paired with sweaters. I love the comfort of sweatpants but I do not find sweatshirts nearly as comfy or cozy as sweaters. And until spring actually arrives in northern NY, this is my go to combo! Thanks for sharing and linking up.

Hi, Shelbee – Spring is taking its sweet time to get here more and more every year, isn’t it? We’re getting used to it now. I expect at some point for the weather to suddenly go bam! to hot, summer weather. Anyway, during this pandemic I figure many of us are living in sweatpants, so we may as well look good by styling them well. Yours in health, Angie
