How to Dress Yourself for Immunity Using the Amazing Powers of Color
Until the world has discovered a vaccine to prevent Covid-19 that is proven to be safe and effective, we can only do our best to boost our immunity in other ways. I have written about how to ensure lifelong health, the best ways to calm fear and anxiety, supplements that can help with immunity and stress and the healing energy of crystals. Today, I have a simple tip for how you can dress yourself for immunity using the amazing powers of color.
Style Tip: How to Dress for Immunity
Style Tip: Wear silver and light colored clothing, white in particular, as chromotherapy/light therapy/color therapy. Silver and white can help prevent and cure viruses, including Coronavirus.
How White and Silver Help Immunity
I first heard this tip from Amanda Ellis of Angelic Celestial Colours on her YouTube channel HERE. She is a color therapist as well as a healer, an international spiritual teacher, medium, writer and public speaker. In my past blog post on “How to Use the Amazing Powers of Color,” I briefly introduced color therapy in general.
In “A Critical Analysis of Chromotherapy and Its Scientific Evolution,” US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health in their alternative medicine section is this statement:
“Chromotherapy provides colors to the electromagnetic body or the aura (energy field) around the body, which in turn transfers energy to the physical body. This makes chromotherapy the most effective among various therapies.”
In her YouTube video on “Coronavirus Update and Guidance” before the virus got around the world, Amanda said the following (I am paraphrasing here):
From a color therapy perspective, black absorbs light. Since the coronavirus is airborne, it is linked into the wavelength of light. So wearing black can absorb it into you, whereas wearing a lighter color such as white reflects it back out. If you are required to wear a black or navy uniform or suit for work, wear white underwear beneath it because that will do the same job.
Amanda also said silver has anti-bacterial qualities and can help to fight infection. She pointed out that colloidal silver does the same thing when ingested.
White and Silver Pieces to Build an Outfit Around
Feel free to use variations of white. Not everyone looks good in pure white. You can wear winter white, off-white, ivory, cream, ecru, natural and even oatmeal. Pantone found Jet Stream, an off-white, to be a predominant classic color during London Fashion Week for winter 2021.
Other variations on white or silver are: a printed piece on a white or silver ground, or colorful embroidery on white.
Create a healing outfit by starting with one or more of these in white or silver:
- a topper (such as a cardigan, kimono, duster, vest, blazer or jacket)
- a top (such as a t-shirt, tunic, sweater, blouse or shirt)
- bottoms (such as a skirt, pants or shorts)
- a jumpsuit
- a white dress in spring and summer, or as a sweater dress for fall and winter
- accessories: a scarf, hat, gloves, shoes, bag, jewelry
- outdoor wear (such as a coat or jacket)
- Pajamas
Probably the easiest way to dress in silver is to add silver jewelry to any outfit.
And as Amanda said above, if your outfit isn’t made up of any white or silver pieces, you can wear white underwear. You’ll still get the benefit of the healing power.
Outfit Ideas Using White and/or Silver
- A silver top + white pants or jeans. Add gold dangle earrings or silver.
- A silver tank top over a white blouse + bottoms of choice. You might like to top it with a cardigan, duster or kimono.
- A white top and bottom with an animal-print vest.
- A white t-shirt + white jeans + any color cardigan. The cardi can be lightweight for spring and summer. Or it can be a heavy material for fall and winter (such as a chunky knit or trimmed in faux leather or fur.) Add a belt + ankle boots + jewelry of choice.
- A white blouse + a white printed scarf + bottoms of your choice.
- A white blouse + white skirt. You might then want to add a toned color or white patterned/printed piece.
- An ivory plaid or printed shirt worn open as a jacket + a tank top + bottoms of your choice. Add a delicate pendant necklace.
- Spring/Summer: A white cardigan + a cami, tank or tee + blue jeans. Add bracelets, etc.
- A white tunic top + skinny blue jeans. Add wedge sandals + wide, gold hoop earrings.
- A white lace duster over a white tee + bottoms of choice.
- A sheer white shirt + a camisole + white pants or skirt.
- Evening: A white top + white pants + silver duster. Or, wear a white slip dress under the duster. Add silver boots if you have them.
- A white wrap top + red pants. Sling a coin belt asymmetrically over the top. Add metallic sandals, shoes or boots.

Oh wow, Angie, what a interesting concept chromotherapy is! While I have always known that wearing certain colors can boost your mood and effect it in other ways, I never realized all this about the healing powers and immunity boosting properties of certain hues. Super fascinating stuff! Thanks for sharing this information and linking with me.

Hi, Shelbee – It is indeed amazing that music and light therapy have been proven to work. Unfortunately, alternative therapies have yet to become mainstream. The pharmaceutical companies have dominated the health care system. I think there should be more of a balance. Thanks for visiting! – Angie
