How to Create Some Nice Outfits for Working From Home
Working from home (WFH) means we get to dress comfortably. We can wear lounge clothes, athflow, athleisure or even business casual if it helps to motivate us. Many times, WFH means we need to look good from the waist up for online meetings and it doesn’t matter what we’re wearing from the waist down. It seems to me that’s where some of the new fashions are coming from. Many of the fashions inspired by post-2020 lifestyle are a combination of dressed-up clothes mixed with dressed-down clothes. So that’s something to keep in mind when figuring out how to create nice work from home outfits. Choose something comfy and pair it with something dressy, or vice versa. That way, you have style and comfort at the same time. And in my mind, that’s a key goal when getting dressed!
A delightful style to enjoy at home is cozy slides. Take a look at this cute and comfy pair for spring:
Outfit Ideas for Work from Home Outfits
A comfortable jumpsuit or an upgraded sweat suit is like lounging while you work. And It can even look presentable on Zoom, especially with the right accessories. With two-piece sets, you can break them up to combine with the rest of your wardrobe.
For a Zoom call:
- Wear a top that’s interesting, in perhaps a print or with a special neckline, detail or collar. Add jewels (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings.)
Comfortable in a Dress
- Dress down a dress by wearing flats.
- Dress down a dress with accessories: rustic wooden or stone beads, a cord pendant, a scarf or bandanna in cotton or rayon that may have tassels or fringe.
- Go minimalistic by just wearing a midi dress with sneakers, sandals or slippers.
- A casual jacket or vest (i.e., faux leather, suede, moto, denim, fleece, etc.) over a nice dress.
