Age doesn't matter.

How Simple Chains Add Instant Flair – and a Style Tip!

One of this summer’s trends is chain jewelry of all sorts:  necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc. Of course, that makes sense because simple chains add instant flair and yet they can be light and minimal on hot days. For more of an impact, they can be mixed:  heavy chains with delicate ones, silver with gold or layered with other pieces. They certainly go with anything, from any color to prints,  graphics and textures. Chains are classic, so they don’t actually go out of style. And age doesn’t matter. So let’s take a look at the different ways to wear chain jewelry. And I have a style tip to share, too!

Style Tip:

Wrap your chains or lariat necklace around your wrist for a tough luxe bracelet.

Outfit idea:  Layer a big, gold watch with chain bracelets with a white t-shirt, long or short + white pants or jeans + a colorful scarf. Add a straw hat and heeled sandals in a nude color + a straw bag. You could also add rings into the mix.

Long chains create a frame for a long pendant. Combined with a kimono, you can wear jeans and a tee with style.

Try mixing a short chain with a short locket in mixed metals, such as silver with gold. You might also mix silver and gold chains or gold with rose gold, whether necklaces or bracelets.

Outfit Ideas:

  1. Match a top and bottom for a slimming column of color. Top with a kimono and accessorize with a long, gold chain link necklace and gold bracelets.
  2. Wear a neutral-color, silky, short-sleeve shirt open as a jacket over a bright blue camisole or tank with blue jeans. Layer a chunky, blue necklace with gold chains.
  3. Wear a short-sleeve or long-sleeve t-shirt with pants and a vest. If the sleeves are long, you might like to roll them back. Add a couple of long scarves wrapped around your neck together. Accessorize with a long chain necklace and bracelets.
  4. Layer a cardigan and shirt over a pretty camisole and blue jeans. Roll back the sleeves of the shirt. Then add a long chain necklace and a bracelet.
