Style Tip: How to Contrast Wrinkled Linen for Visual Interest
The coolest material to wear in hot weather is linen. The only drawback is its tendency to wrinkle. Many don’t like the wrinkling and that quality keeps it from being wearable for traditional business. But others love wrinkled linen for the casually cool vibe it projects. And the wrinkles prove you are wearing real linen! So wear what you love and be your true self. Age doesn’t matter. Today’s style tip explains what to wear with wrinkled linen to give it a crisper look. I hope this will help expand your clothing choices to include this wonderful fabric!

Style Tip for How to Make Wrinkled Linen Look More Crisp!
Contrast wrinkled linen with a crisp, white tee. Or, try pairing your wrinkled linen top or topper with crisp chinos, khakis, jeans or bottoms in crisper fabrics.
Angie at You Look Fab agrees that pairing linen tops, tees, knitwear and jackets with jeans and bottoms in crisper fabrics is one way to balance out the creased effect of linen. Flax is a similar material to linen and can be worn the same way.
The Benefits of Wrinkled Linen
There are numerous benefits to wearing wrinkled linen. You can stuff it in your bag only to have it emerge even more stylish than before. If you want to use it as a pillow for a nap, afterwards you can just slide your trusted linen back on looking better than ever. You can tie it around your waist when you get warm out on the street and then toss it back on to protect you from the frigid AC of the great indoors. And best of all, the more you wash and wear your linen, it softens…thus improving with age. The exception is a lined linen jacket with a “dry clean only” label. Heed the label or ruin the jacket.

I think that’s such a smart tip to pair linen with a fabric that looks crisp and clean. I love the denim 3/4 sleeve shirt from Orvis. I may need to look into that one!!
I’ll bet it would look great with your red hair…and blue grey eyes? Thanks for your kind comment!
