Simple Style Tip of the Day: How to Create Classy Outfits With Summery Fabrics
I have a simple style tip for you today. This outfit formula can help you to combine your tops and bottoms in summery fabrics with other things you own in a way that turns out classy. And hopefully you’ll discover more ways to wear them than you have before.
One way to get the most out of this style tip is to look for all of the possible pieces that you own and write them down so that you have a view of all of the different ways to pair them. I enjoy my clothes much more if I don’t have to wear the same things in the same way. And if I do repeat an outfit combination, I just add different accessories. It keeps things feeling new. This helps to shop your closet without having to go out and spend more. And age doesn’t matter because it’s all based on your true self style.
Today’s Simple Style Tip and What It Looks Like:
STYLE TIP: Take a top or bottom in lace, silk, crochet, eyelet, embroidery or other summery fabric. Pair it with a top or bottom in a matching or toned color.
Accessorize whites with more white, pale neutrals and gold.
Accessorize a tan outfit with shades of brown and animal print for a natural safari look.
With a summery fabric that’s printed rather than solid, just add colors to match those in the print…even if they are in another print!

Love this Angie. I have too many plain tops and this will push me to change it up with something softer and more feminine!

Hi, Pamela – I love wearing sparkle for day and romantic pieces in lace, crochet, etc. I’m glad this tip is helpful to you. Thanks for letting me know! – Angie
I love all of these outfits! The monochromatic looks that you featured are definitely classy as well as comfortable and summery. Your tip about listing items and thinking about them in new ways is a great idea!
For years, I’ve been listing all the things that go with each piece of clothing I buy in order to get the most outfits possible out of each. That’s how I started this blog. Hopefully, sharing my ideas helps to make it easier for others to come up with new outfits out of their closets. I’m hoping I’m doing a lot of the work for my readers to benefit from.
I love your summery selections, Angie! I think that Embroidered Lost in Time Top in Eclipse from Sundance is perfection for this time of year!
Glad you share my taste in clothes! 😉
