How to Stack Bangles to Make Your Look Suddenly Stunning
One of the jewelry trends for this fall is stacked bangles. Over-the-top is the key. So you might like to stock up on your bangle supply. See below to get my ideas on how to stack bangles in 26 interesting ways. You’ll even see how you can make your outfit become suddenly stunning. Age doesn’t matter.
How to Stack Bangles Now
Now is the time to layer bangles all the way up the arm if that’s your fancy. Or if you prefer, just wear one big statement bangle because now is also a time of pushing bangle designs to the max. You’ll find versions from sparkle to lucite and from futurism to the edge of punk. Take your pick or mix them up (different styles in the same materials or colors.)
Style Tip:
When you want to add personality to your closet basics, put on a bangle or four.
How to Stack Bangles 26 Ways
- Wear bangles that have one color in common.
- Mix two bangles of the same style but not necessarily the same color (i.e., two Indian bangles with different colors.)
- Stack 2-3 bangles of different widths with similar colors/materials/design.
- Layer wood bangles with gold bangles.
- Layer gold bangles with brass bangles. It may sound a little odd, but they’re all gold-toned so it works!
- Mix different textures of gold or silver bangles.
- Take two gold, rose gold or silver bangles and add one sliver of color in between
- Layer gold bangles with colored, beaded and Indian bangles in between.
- Wear at least six narrow 18-carat gold bangles. Mix inexpensive and real if you like. It’s good to go vintage here.
- First, take a bangle inlaid with gold. Second, add a narrow gold bangle on each side. Finish by adding a pair of matching bangles, one on each side (or another narrow and medium gold bangle on each side.)
- Two gold bangles + a brown with inlaid gold bangle in the middle.
- With gray, brown or navy day clothes, wear a wood bangle in between two gold bangles.
- Two gold bangles + a brown with inlaid gold bangle in the middle.
- An ivory bangle between two wooden bangles.
- A wooden bangle + a colorful ethnic bangle.
- Layer different bangles all made of hammered gold.
- A wooden bracelet + a hammered brass bangle.
- Mix brown bangles with silver.
- Wear turquoise bangles with silver or gold bangles.
- Build an arm party or two of bangles in toned colors, varying sizes and textures.
- Pile on a slew of narrow bangles, mixing colors, textures and materials to your heart’s content.
- Stack all different colors of one type of bangle, such as Indian bangles.
- Feel free to mix modern and rustic bangles on both arms, all the way up to the elbows.
- Try mixing rustic bangles (in either shape or color) with one modern bangle.
- Two woven bangles + three to six gold bangles, etched or smooth.
- Try a mother-of-pearl bangle in the center + a gold bangle on each side of it + a black studded bangle on each side of that.

I love wearing lots of bracelets together. I’ve done it for years. Strangely, I don’t wear many bracelets in the winter. Thanks for all the different ways to wear them!

Hi, Marsha – Thanks for your feedback! I wonder what your favorite ways to stack bangles are…do you have favorite combinations you have come up with? I am curious to know. XO – Angie
I have always loved that! And wore it a lot too. I have to say that I am at the moment more a cuff fan, but bangles are always a good statement!
I am more of a cuff fan, too, and a bit about cuffs creeped into this post because they are so gorgeous! But when we stack those bangles, they can really turn into something awesome.
Definitely going to get on this trend.
Hi, Hilda – It’s going to be hot again next week, so it will be a good time to remind myself to just add bangles. It’s great to look special any time, though, IMO. ;D Thanks for your comment! XO – Angie
Angie I loved this. I will be trying some of the ideas.
Thank you, my friend! Let me know how it turns out. 😉
I’m psyched for this trend!!
It’s amazing what a statement maker this is!
