Love to Know What Colors Act as Neutrals?
I love to know what colors act as neutrals. Do you? Because then I can wear those colors with anything, never having to wonder if they go together. And neutrals are classic, so age doesn’t matter.
I just heard about colored neutrals as a special group of colors about a year or two ago. I got interested in learning what they are so that I could get used to using them for their versatility. In this post I collected the colored neutrals and then found what went best with them. But in the end, I still keep in mind that I can combine them with anything I want. Finally, I give a few ways to wear it to inspire you to create some new outfits.

- A colored neutral cardigan or other topper over a column of color (i.e., a rust cardi over a gray graphic tee + gray pants or leggings.)
- A monochrome outfit of just one colored neutral in different textures.

Gosh, I didn’t realize these colors were now considered neutrals. Where have I been? I do think you can put almost any color with another color…it just depends on the shade or tint. Thanks for sharing this new to me information!

I’m not good about adding color to my choices but you sure give me reason to do so. Beautiful choices!
This is a very cautious way to add color, knowing that these are neutral! 😉
How refreshing not to think of only nondescript colors as neutrals, Angie! This is fantastic!
