Style Tip of the Day: What Pairs Best With Animal Prints

Today’s style tip is inspiration for what pairs best with animal prints. Whether you have leopard, snakeskin, zebra, etc., in whatever colors or styles, this tip can help you to create new outfit combinations. Age doesn’t matter.

Animal prints are a favorite staple of my wardrobe. They go with everything; whatever you may wear, you can just about always throw them into the mix. When I pack for a trip, I substitute animal prints for whatever coordinates I may be missing as well as for accessories and footwear. As a neutral print, it goes with any other print or color. It can be worn throughout the year depending on the material and cut of the garment. If it’s sheer or sparkly, it works well for evening and if it’s in a casual style, it works for day.

I have so many outfit ideas, that I’m using this style tip as the introduction to a full-blown series on animal prints!

Style Tip:

Pair an animal-print top or topper with leather or denim.

(This writer recommends faux leather in order to be kind to animals.)

Leather pants, skirts and/or jackets don’t have to be black; they can be in any color. Leather pieces in whites or brights work year round when layered or worn with heavier materials.

A leopard-print top is easily worn with blue jeans. But furthermore, it pairs well with a denim skirt, jacket or vest.

A peasant-style top is a casual way to wear animal prints. But no matter how casual, it still hints at feminine sexuality. So it goes beyond daytime to easy evenings.
