How to Wear a Knit Sweatshirt Blazer for Easy Style
A knit blazer is a great transitional piece when going from winter to spring or from summer to fall. The kind I have in mind feels like a sweatshirt but looks like a blazer. So it can go from business to casual quickly and simply with comfort and easy style. Anyone can wear it with just about anything. Age doesn’t matter. Let’s take a look at how to wear a knit sweatshirt blazer.
How to Wear a Knit Sweatshirt Blazer
This knit blazer is similar to the one I have. It’s very laid back and comfortable.
- Tuck a silk or satin camisole into blue jeans and top with a knit blazer. Add a simple gold necklace & earrings.
- Layer a long, lace-hem tank top under a sweatshirt blazer with skinny jeans. Add hoop earrings. If cool, add ankle boots.
Wear a sweatshirt blazer with jeans, skirts, dresses, pants — everything! Try a simple dress, chinos, knit pants or a blouse and skirt. Underneath, wear tanks, tees, jewel-colored blouses, etc. Common footwear choices are loafers, sneakers or boots.
- A knit blazer goes well with a striped top & jeans. Add simple hoops or your favorite earrings.
- Top a tank or tee & jeans with a knit blazer. You might add hoop earrings, a pendant in the neckline & a pair of cuff bracelets/wide bangles layered together.
This blazer is crafted from a soft, knit fabric which has enough structure that it is still crisp enough to leave unlined. This makes it easy to layer through all seasons.
- Knit sweatshirt blazer + shell top + pants or skirt all in one color.
- A sweatshirt blazer + a t-shirt + a midi skirt. Add a short string of beads & a couple of bangles.
The knit blazer gives you all the comfort and layer-ability of a lightweight sweater. Yet it has the style of the best blazers. It’s polished, yet comfortable. This piece is great for those days when you might go out or might take a nap! There are no worries about it rumpling.
- Wear a knit sweatshirt blazer over a striped top tucked inside a pair of slacks. Push up sleeves. Add a scarf.
- Top a sweatshirt dress with a knit blazer. If cool, add tall boots.
Since these soft jackets don’t wrinkle, they are good to pack for traveling.
- Outfit formula (base this on the color of the blazer): Navy sweatshirt blazer over a printed top with navy in it + skinnies if the jacket is long, or jeans. Add a belt + a wrap bracelet + earrings.
- A black knit blazer + a printed top + a short skirt or any pants.
- Wear a black sweatshirt blazer with all black: black crew-neck tee or sweater + black jeans + black boots or sneakers.
- Wear a black knit sweatshirt blazer over a layering top and black slim-leg pants. Add drop earrings, maybe a necklace on a black cord and black flats.
- A knit blazer and a turtleneck is a classic combination. Wear with anything on the bottom. Chinos and loafers are the preppy solution. Blue jeans are a natural pairing and loafers or similar is good here, too. You might like to accessorize with a metallic belt, hoop earrings and/or a pendant.
I love the ease of a knit sweatshirt blazer…so comfy and it’s a blend of high-low style all on its own! How about you?
