How to Wear Animal Prints: 8th in a Series of Fun & Fierce Outfit Ideas

Welcome to the 8th in a series on how to wear animal prints. This post covers ways to wear graphic tops with animal motifs and animal-print accessories. You will find ideas to help you use your fun and fierce t-shirts and accessories in a wider variety of outfits.

How to Wear Animal Prints:  Accessories & Animal-Motif Tops

I love animal prints and wear them often. Do you? They lend instant style to any basics and they go with everything. Age doesn’t matter because there are endless possibilities when you use your creativity. I’m here to help you with that.

Below, you will find outfit ideas for:

Animal-Motif Tops

Previously in this series, I wrote a post on animal-print tops. I saved the animal-motif tops because they are different than my original series idea. Rather than an animal pattern all over the material, they are a picture of one or more animals on the t-shirt or sweater. Here are just a few outfit ideas for these fun wardrobe pieces that are purely casual.

1. An animal-motif sweater + a shirt + denim skirt or pants. You might like to add a cap.
2. A t-shirt with an animal graphic + an animal-print skirt + a waterfall cardigan. Add an animal-print belt + tan booties.
3. Wear an animal-themed graphic tee with a linen suit. Add animal-print sandals or slip-on sneakers.
4. An animal-themed graphic tee + jeans + animal-print flats.
5. An animal-motif tee or sweater + an animal-print skirt or pants + a jean jacket or moto jacket. Add boots (maybe combat or biker boots?) + red jewelry, a hefty chain necklace, or rocker jewelry.
6. Top an animal-motif tee with a leopard faux fur jacket.

Animal-Print Scarves

1. Add a leopard-print scarf to an all-black outfit.
2. Add a leopard scarf to a brown or black dress.
3. Add an animal-print scarf (tied infinity-style or in your favorite way) to a short-sleeve or long-sleeve black t-shirt. Black is the perfect background to highlight the print.
4. A charcoal sweater dress + a black faux leather jacket + a leopard scarf. Layer necklaces and gold bracelets, watch, snakeskin bracelet or similar on both wrists. Add black stockings and heeled boots.
5. Top a black maxi dress with a grey duster cardigan belted in brown. Add a leopard-print scarf crossed over and tucked in front.
6. A long-sleeve black sweater + a grey maxi skirt + an animal-print scarf tied infinity-style. Add tall black boots + a black tote bag + bead bracelets. Push back the sleeves.

   

7. Go ahead and add an animal-print scarf to a printed top, dress, etc. Animal print acts as a neutral.
8. Wear a leopard-print scarf with a leopard coat. Add a gold cuff.
9. A red top + gray or black skirt or pants. Add an animal-print scarf + colorful bangles.
10. A brown, cream or black tee + jeans. Wrap a leopard-print scarf around neck with ends in front.
11. A khaki jacket + a colorful blouse + a skirt or pants. Add an animal-print scarf.

Animal-Print Shoes

1. Wear animal-print shoes with anything, as if they were a neutral color such as black or tan.
2. Any printed tunic + skinny blue jeans + animal-print footwear.
3. Jeans and a tee with animal-print flats or sneakers.

   

4. A sleek black blazer + blue jeans + a long black top + animal-print sneakers. Add a black chain-link bag + a long pendant + bracelets. Roll or push back sleeves. If sunny, add sunglasses.
5. Wear a slouchy sweater over flowing black or tan trousers. Add animal-print sneakers and rings.
6. Animal-print footwear, such as leopard-print sneakers, with one or two tanks or a tee & shorts.
7. Wear animal-print footwear with a midi skirt and top of choice.

More Ways to Wear Animal-Print Accessories

1. Evening:  Add an animal-themed pendant to a maxi dress. Finish with simple gold bangles, gold hoop earrings and pumps.
2. Evening:  Wear a leopard-print accessories (scarf, belt, booties) with any caftan, including one with animal print.
3. With a basic outfit, add an animal-print belt. This is one way to spice up a plain white tee. Simply adding an animal-print belt to jeans & a tee packs a punch.
4. An animal-print caftan with animal-print accessories (i.e., a headband, clutch, footwear.) For instance, for evening:  wear animal-print footwear with an animal-print caftan and maybe an animal-print head scarf and animal-print clutch.
