Citron Green Will Make You Bolder This Year; Age Doesn’t Matter
You know how I say age doesn’t matter because older is bolder? Well, citron green will make you stand out. I encourage you to wear this trending color this year and beyond. The spring/summer 2024 runways introduced this zesty hue per the collections of LaPointe, Alejandra Alonso Rojas, and Elisabetta Franchi. The electric chartreuse works well for special occasions but can easily be toned down and dressed down.
As a lively yellow green, it will be useful in the fall as well. For winter, contrast it with dark and cool colors and thick, textured fabrics.
If citron is just too far out of your comfort zone, use it in accessories as a color pop with a more neutral look. For instance, add a bright handbag. Or, consider adding it as a belt or a statement necklace. Peridot gemstones create a nice blend of green.
If you don’t have anything in citron you might like to use one of its cousins, chartreuse or lime green, instead.
So let’s get comfortable with how to wear this color. First, we can become more familiar with colors that go well with it. From there, it’s pretty easy to start brightening up our outfits in a wide variety of ways.

Just the other day I was wearing my lemon green lingerie and thought: I need a top in this colour! It gos with so much and it is really a stunning colour!
What a coincidence, or synchronicity, or we read each other’s minds, or most of all what trendsetters we are! Lol! Citron is a standout color that commands attention, a great pop of color to go with black outfits.
I haven’t seen much of this when I’ve been out and about. But, I also haven’t been out and about much lately. I love the idea of this color paired with purple!

The designers love citron this year and purple is a favorite pairing on the street. It’s such a fresh and bright look for both summer and fall.
