Holiday 2024 Fashion Gift Ideas for Women: Age Doesn’t Matter
Here is my first-ever collection of Holiday Gift Ideas! I have been seeing other bloggers and vloggers share their picks already, before Thanksgiving. It made me realize that I could come up with fashion gift ideas for women based on the current trends. Because we want to give our friends and family something shiny new and interesting, don’t we? I looked for things that are affordable and that could be for any of the favorite women in your life so that age doesn’t matter.
So here are many of the current fashion trends for women with an example of something low cost to buy for each. I hope this helps you with your gift list this holiday season. Please let me know if you think I should make this an annual feature. You can leave a reply below this post. That would be helpful to me and I would appreciate it very much!
Holiday 2024 Fashion Gift Ideas for Women
Animal Prints
Look for bags, belts and scarves in any type or color of animal print. These prints are a classic that are really popular come Fall every year. They are easily worn in all seasons, though. Wearing them as accessories is a safe way for any personality to carry them off. They are a favorite staple in my wardrobe, especially because they go with everything and will give any outfit an edge and a pop of interest.
If you’d like to explore ways to wear them, see my Animal Print Series HERE.
Belts
Belts are another trend that keeps on trending. Because they are an accessory that can give shape to your outfit and add some flair to boot.
If you’d find more ways to wear them, see my post “How to Wear Belts in Interesting New Ways” HERE.
A classic cashmere crewneck
‘Tis the season to buy cashmere now that the holiday sales have begun. It’s an elegant staple that’s a special treat. And it can be worn day or evening by dressing it up or down.
A Collarless Blazer
You’ll often see collarless blazers in tweed in the style of Coco Chanel. Here, I have found a very special silk floral collarless blazer in silver for a very low price point. And if you decide to buy the blazer above, you will also be supporting a small business.
Countryside Style
Styles found in the English countryside are enjoying special attention this year in a classy, not grungy, way. Look for things such as Fair Isle sweaters, chunky cable-knit sweaters, plaid flannel shirts and shackets.
If you’re interested in outfit ideas, see my post “From Easy to Awesome: Over 50 Ways to Wear a Plaid Shirt” HERE.
Anything Denim
If it’s easy for you to choose the right size for your gift recipient, there are lots of new styles and colors of jeans. But since I’ve always found it tricky to find just the right size in jeans, I looked at denim jackets, both classic and embellished.
The jacket above is from a list of denim jackets recommended by Oprah Winfrey. I figured if she thought it was great, it must be.
Denim knows no limits this year, so if you know the tastes of the woman you’re buying for you might also check out denim skirts, dresses, trench coats, different washes & embellishments.
Draped Outerwear
This Fall, designers experimented with new ways to drape coats and scarves. These give you the feel of maximum coziness on cold days. Choose from wrap coats to capes to shawls and big scarves to wrap into. A great big long and plush scarf automatically duplicates this style when it is draped over a coat of the same color.
A warm, knit ruana (similar to a kimono) or poncho are cozy for around the house after it’s too cold to wear it as outerwear.
For in-depth ways to wear scarves of all types throughout the year, see my Scarves Style Guide in my Shop HERE.
Faux Fur
Although fur coats are something every woman likely wants, I figured most of us are looking for gifts a little less pricey! You can still give the gift of soft, warm fur by looking for vests and accessories, such as scarves, hats and bags. Fabulous Furs, as shown above, has a full range of furs all of which are faux in order to be kind to animals.
If you’d like outfit ideas wearing a fur vest, see my post “100+ Remarkable Ways to Look Terrific in a Faux Fur Vest” HERE.
Faux Suede
There are faux suede jackets galore to pore through in case that’s your aim and you find good deals. A more affordable option is a suede vest. It fits in with the menswear trend and adds the interest of a third piece to a basic top & bottom. It also adds a warm layer to Fall and Winter outfits.
Suede accessories include bags, caps, gloves and belts.
The Field Jacket
The field jacket or utility jacket is a Fall basic. It can be layered for more warmth in Winter. It’s a very practical gift but can be found in interesting colors, textures and designs, such as the embroidered jacket above.
Fringed Pieces
This style encompasses a wide range of sartorial elements. You’ll find fringe on tops, skirts, jeans, toppers, scarves, gloves, boots, bags and even jewelry. There’s something for everyone.
You can find out more in my post “How to Wear Fringe Pieces…” HERE.
Menswear
As I say in my post, “How to Put Your Own Spin on the Menswear Look” (HERE) it’s a pairing of opposites that feminizes it. In other words, it’s not just for business types only.
The button-down shirt is one element of menswear, including draped men’s shirts and chambray shirts. If you’re looking for something uniquely different, I like the velvet tunic-length shirt as seen above. I often use mine unbuttoned as a jacket. For more on that, see my post “How to Style Velvet Tops of All Sorts” HERE.
Other menswear pieces to give as gifts could be: slouchy trousers; an oversized blazer, even in denim; oversized knits from the boys’ department; a tweed vest, sweater vest or menswear vest.
Posh Pieces for Every Day
Once again, or as always, day wear includes sparkle, shine and embellishment. You can find beautiful gifts made with sequins and paillettes, satin, denim embellished with bling, a feather-trimmed jacket, etc. These can be paired with their opposites to wear anytime.
If you’d like to indulge yourself, see my posts on sparkle & shine HERE.
Patent Leather
A patent leather bag is a beautiful gift of these times.
Statement Necklines
Besides sweaters or embellished tops, look for statement necklines: things like bare necklines, turtlenecks, off-the-shoulder tops or boat-neck tops.
Track Pants
This gift is practical, casual and good for an active woman. Beyond that, it can absolutely be styled with something opposite to sporty — like something formal, dressy or refined, such as a cashmere sweater and loafers or heels and a dressy top.

Such beautiful pieces! I really love the velvet turtleneck. Thanks for linking up with Ageless Style.
Thank you for visiting me here and giving me your feedback. Happy Holidays!
I love these lists as they always remind me of things I forget! Like pajamas!
My husband and I both enjoy the pajamas we have received as gifts in the past. I have also been enjoying the gift ideas lists to help me choose presents for everyone on my I need to buy for. It can be hard to think of things!
Hmmm…I may have to share this with my husband! He’s always asking me what to get! I have several Charter Club cashmere sweaters, and they are quite nice. I haven’t been in Macy’s this year to see what styles they have. That may happen on Black Friday! Thanks, Angie, for all the good ideas!

Great, Marsha, I hope this helped you to write your own wish list for the holidays! We must remember that gift lists can be for ourselves as well as for others. 😉
