9 Holiday Hacks that Will Make You Look Spectacular!
9 Holiday Hacks to Make You Look Spectacular…and a Linkup Party!
Last year, I started a series on holiday outfit ideas. I am continuing that series this year, beginning with this post.
Following are tips for giving your outfits a holiday vibe for the wide variety of events you may engage in this season. Age doesn’t matter. Use what you have and make it your own. Express your true self!
Check out these tips for how to dress up with flare over the holiday season. And then, at the end of this post is a linkup party. There, bloggers can link their posts for all to visit. You, my readers, can click your heart away on the blog topics and get lost in the wonderland of blog heaven. I’m sure there will be all kinds of holiday fashion and style posts, as well as lots of content of interest to midlife women. I am honored and excited to co-host this week’s Top of the World Style linkup party!
1. A Tuxedo Jacket will temper the most flirtatious dress or top, making it wearable to a variety of special events.
2. Embellish your Little Black Dress with red, green or jewel colors, and any special accessories you have.
3. To create your own dress: Pair a top and a skirt in the same color. Luxe fabrics make it special.
4. A skirt with sequins and/or beading is a handy piece to dress up basics.
5. Transform the simplest of outfits with sparkly jewelry. Think necklaces, bracelets, brooches, cuffs, earrings and cocktail rings. Try adding a statement necklace, 2-3 bracelets of the same or mixed styles on one wrist, or statement earrings.
6. Add a colorful gemstone Christmas-themed brooch to any black top, even a t-shirt.
7. A shiny wrap worn like a scarf will dress up a simple knit top or sheath dress.
8. In place of a fancy belt, you can tie a black satin ribbon in a bow at your waist. You may buy black satin ribbon 1 1/2 to 3 inches wide by the yard.
9. When there’s snow and rain, try dressy boots instead of evening sandals. Or you may want to pack your evening sandals and change when you arrive at your destination.
