Age doesn't matter.

9 of the Best Ways to Wear a Velvet Kimono or Duster

This is the fourth in a series of posts on how to add a touch of luxury to your outfits with velvet. Previously, I wrote a style tip and how to style a velvet jacket or top. You can find those subjects linked at the bottom of this post along with another that I wrote for my Holiday Series (HERE.) I have gotten lots of positive feedback on my kimono outfit ideas (HERE) so I know that kimonos are popular. Age doesn’t matter! First of all, kimonos and dusters cloak your body in comfort. Secondly, they’re that all-important third piece that takes a basic two-piece outfit from plain to spectacular effortlessly. Ultimately that makes them a go-to item for the holidays, whether you have a special event or you just want to feel festive at home. So with all that goodness in mind, let’s take a look at nine of the best ways to wear a kimono or duster.

9 of the Best Ways to Wear a Kimono or Duster

You can wear a kimono or duster over any top and bottom. This makes it easy to dress up whatever you have on. It doesn’t matter if:  a) you want to look special for somewhere you’re going, or b) you just feel bored with an outfit and want to make it more interesting.

Here are nine outfit ideas:

Wear It with a Dress
