How to Make Your Outfits Come Alive With Brooches & Pins
People are using brooches and pins to dazzle up their outfits. That includes men, who are beginning to pin a brooch or two to the lapel of a suit or onto a casual jacket. There are so many designs making it easy to express your true self. And if you experiment a little, you’ll find that age doesn’t matter.
According to Who What Wear, “this once-dated jewelry item is now a major 2024 trend.” So when I came across some photos at the Free People store, I was inspired to start incorporating these jewels into my outfits. I found lots of ways that brooches and pins can make your outfits come alive. Why don’t you take a look at how you can do this, too?
How to Style Brooches & Pins
Here are a few tips to get you started, followed by where to pin them on and ending with a few ways to wear them in your outfits.
Style Tips:
Tip #1: Clasp a brooch or two to a necklace.

I tried doing this years ago (talk about being ahead of a trend), and I just felt silly. I think I’ll give it a shot once again! Thanks for the inspiration, Angie!

That reminds me of when I mixed prints in my outfit decades ago and another woman looked at me as if I was insane. Lol! Then it became a whole new art form that persists to this day. I think that’s how it is with brooches. It could be fun to go to a thrift or vintage shop to find some beautiful vintage brooches. And there are some cute pins, too. I have a rainbow pin that makes drab neutrals look fun! Sparkly brooches will be a new (yet old) way to add bling for the holidays. Enjoy!
