Let me introduce you to my good friend, Sinderella. She has had a career singing, playing bass, recording and touring with several bands. Those include Glitter Trash, Madhouse and Fillmore Slim, as well as support for LA Guns! She has also worked in film and TV. I asked Sin if she could tell me: “How can women over 60 get the Rock Chic look?” She has honed a nice glam rock look for herself by now that she can pass on to the rest of us. Right off the top of her head, she gave me the tips that I’m sharing with you here today. Since age doesn’t matter, her advice can work for anyone who wants to rock this style!
About Sin
Back when I was 20 something, I knew a guy who got a really creative haircut. I asked him where he got it done. He directed me to Sin, who was doing hair in her basement back then. I had her try some daring do’s on me, and we’ve been friends ever since!
Today, she co-owns Paula’s Barber Shop in the Historic Depot Town of Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she is known for doing Rock ‘n’ Roll Hair. She also teaches art and guitar.
Sin very graciously sent me photos of her style and took photos of her wardrobe items. She said, “These are all I could find not in stage wear!” Just so you know, Sin dresses like this every day…
So I present to you Sin showing us her glam rock look. Following her tips and looks is a glam rock wardrobe capsule based on what she’s wearing in the photos. She said, “Mix and match, to create any look!” Continue Reading

T’is the time to make goals for the new year coming! Goals for the new year include many areas of our life. The common areas we usually think of are health, money and work, relationships, community service and shedding bad habits. Age doesn’t matter. Life is a constant process of growth and self-improvement.
I never thought about creating style goals until I read Angie Cox’s blog You Look Fab. Inspired by Angie, I made a list of style goals the last two years. You might like to make some style goals of your own, if you don’t already.
These are some of my style goals, past and future:

A smile is always the best thing you can wear of course, but I’ve compiled a list of what I consider essential pieces for a versatile wardrobe. Age doesn’t matter.
Although you’ve heard many times what you have to have in your wardrobe, I’m not telling you that you have to have anything in particular. Because what you wear is totally your choice.
But there are items of clothing that go with most anything and everything in your closet. And if you have those basic pieces, it should be quite easy for you to find something to wear every day.

I was recently contacted by Reviews.com about their latest tests to find the best sunscreens. I am not being compensated for this post, but if you purchase anything through links on this page I may receive a small percentage (enough to boost my spirits!) The bottom line is that I am sharing with you which sunscreens are the best for various purposes, such as:
- Best Coverage
- Best for Sensitive Skin
- Best for Face, and
- Best for Physical Activity.
Age doesn’t matter. We all want to get the best for our money. So it’s nice to have access to the results of products tested for the best, and to check reviews before buying.
We also need the sun for vitamin D. But it’s important to make sure we’re not overdoing it, so protection against too much sun is important for balance.
I especially love this review because the winning products are safe for sensitive skin, and contain natural and organic ingredients.
After researching 135 sunscreens, Reviews.com tested 20 products for coverage and skin feel and found four favorites.
So without further ado, here are the winners:

Since Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing sold over eight million copies in over 40 countries and stayed on the New York Times best-selling list for so long, it’s obvious that people around the world are plagued by clutter. I assume age doesn’t matter because clearing clutter is an ongoing situation.
In my recent blog post “How to Make More Outfits Out of What You Have,” I provided a list of the basic wardrobe items you need to have or buy for spring and summer. In this post, I am giving you tips and links to help you get rid of excess clothes that make it difficult to get dressed and look your best.
