Whether you bought new clothes for the holidays or not, there are so many different types of events to enjoy. The new and the old will likely have to be mixed and matched. From laid-back and cozy to glitzy and glamorous, choose the style that matches your true self. Age doesn’t matter!
Evening pajamas are not for sleeping, but rather for partying! Since at least the 1920’s, women have entertained at home in silky, sexy, comfortable pajama outfits; then at the dinner parties of friends; then out to the theater and now on the streets day and night. From Greta Garbo to Kate Moss, think of comfortable and flowing clothes in silky materials, soft cashmere, generous volumes, loose-fitting trousers, long flowing skirts, slides (especially sequined), slip-on shoes and smoking slippers.
At Christmas time, what colors come to mind? Red and green, right? But there are other holiday colors as well. What if true red and true green are not colors that look best on you? Or maybe you have other shades of red or green that you love. Age doesn’t matter. What matters is what you love and what looks best on you. Think of the beautiful, artistically-decorated Christmas trees and lights…blue and white, silver and gold, etc. Maybe some other set of colors is more you. When you want to dress up for a special time or place, there’s no need to buy special clothes. Instead, you can embellish any simple outfit with accessories.
