My birthday gift from my son this year was a chakra mineral starter set of healing crystals, with a velvet pouch containing the chakra healing stones. The gift card said, “Hi, Mom! May they bring you abundance and comfort! From Your Son.”
I was surprised to get this chakra healing set of crystals when I had just posted an article on “How to Use the Amazing Powers of Color.” This was synchronicity at its best! In my color post, I included a list of how to heal and correct the chakras by their corresponding colors.
I decided to share my gift with you. I had already intended to write about crystals, and I will explore the topic more in the future if you like. I hope that the basic information I am sharing with you here is helpful!
When we “cleanse” our chakras with crystals, we dispel negative energy that is building up inside of us and disturbing our delicate energy balance. This promotes both emotional and physical self-healing.
Age doesn’t matter. Throughout history, the wisest healers were those of a venerable age.
I belong to an amazing Facebook group called Forever Fierce: The Midlife Revolution, spearheaded by Catherine Grace O’Connell. Their first Forever Fierce Day is February 19, 2018. To celebrate, the group is asking women in midlife and beyond “What does it mean to you to be Forever Fierce in midlife and beyond?” The group promotes the idea that age doesn’t matter when it comes to women staying “fierce.”
I was surprised to be faced from the start with reactions against the word “fierce.” Continue Reading
I was reading a blog post about warm winter coats, and by the end of it I was amazed that all they talked about was puffer coats! What about fur? (Remember to always buy faux fur to protect animals.) I believe fur is just as warm, and looks better, too! Age doesn’t matter. We can all look good and feel warm in faux fur coats. Continue Reading
Yesterday, I was wishing my cousin a happy birthday despite the fact that her mother had just died. She replied, “I’m glad we’re still having them.” We want to still have them for a long time to come, and we want them to be healthy and happy too.
In a “Natural Awakenings” magazine article entitled Ageless Being: Staying Vibrant in Mind, Body and Spirit by Kathleen Barnes, the author begins with quotes by Christiane Northrup, M.D. She is a leading authority in the field of women’s health and wellness, which includes the unity of mind, body, emotions and spirit. Dr. Northrup often says, “Don’t tell anyone how old you are. Another birthday means nothing.” As I always say, age doesn’t matter! So I’d like to explore here what we can do to live a long, fulfilling life.
In an effort to encourage you to make the best of what you have (age doesn’t matter), I am sharing a short series of articles that are inspiring. 🙂
The November issue of InStyle magazine contains an interview with Drew Barrymore, “The 5 Beauty Products Drew Barrymore Swears By.” But what’s really important about that interview, and what drew me to read it, is the highlighted quote where she said:
“Instead of beating yourself up about what you don’t have, figure out what you do have and make it work.”
