It’s been a brutal winter across the country with heavy snows and sub-zero weather alternating with thaws that turn to ice and heavy winds in between the fluctuating temperatures! For the first time, my appreciation of the now is shaken and I’m looking forward to spring even though it’s not here yet.
Today’s style tip is useful throughout the year. From what I’ve been hearing, I think I can safely assume that we are all looking forward to spring right now, and to wearing spring clothes. So I decided to give you a tip on how to wear a floral dress right away, without having to wait for warm weather. Age doesn’t matter. If you like my style tip, you’re the right age! 😉
Extreme cold is here in Michigan this week, so it’s time to get serious about bundling up when we go outdoors. If you are also experiencing low winter temperatures, you don’t have to wear bulky coats and end up looking like a blimp. 😀 There are ways to wear layers that keep you just as warm as a bulky parka and look better too.

Three is the magic number for adding style to an outfit. The cardigan is a third piece, and thereby has the power to transform whatever you put it over. The cardigan can dress up or dress down your outfit. And if you started with two pieces (i.e., a top and a bottom, or a dress and a belt) the third piece can add your own personal style to them. So let’s take a look at how to use the amazing powers of a cardigan.
As you can see in the photo above, just adding a cardigan to one piece (the dress) changes the whole mood of your outfit. The basic gray knit cardigan makes the lace dress wearable for day and casual events.

When you want to dress up for a special time or place, there’s no need to buy special clothes. Instead, you can embellish any simple outfit with accessories. Be like a Christmas tree and just add ornaments. Lol! Below are 12 style tips that show you how easy it is to save money by embellishing with accessories.
Age doesn’t matter. Wear what you like and then add the special touches.
A few common examples of embellishment are lace, pearls, gemstone beads, sparkle (of course), and statement jewelry (i.e., necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins, rings, belts). Scarves also count. And killer shoes or boots would be the perfect finish!
