Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a Danish concept based on living cozily and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. It is a mindful and minimalist way of life. It applies to all aspects of life including home, work, relationships, parenting, holidays, food and clothes. At a time when we are enjoying comfortable clothes in all aspects of our lives, I decided it’s a good time to explore hygge style. Since comfort is key, age doesn’t matter!

It’s always interesting to see what the most popular posts were from the year before. What women want to know becomes clear as well as how lifestyles are changing. In my top 10 most popular posts of 2021 for instance, here are some things I learned:
- It seems that women wonder “what colors go with olive??”
- There are special items of clothing that seem to be only for special occasions; but I think women are always happy to find out ways to wear them casually for any day they feel like it.
- In fact, since the Covid pandemic, comfort rules!
- Although women are interested in being sexy, they want to be comfortable at the same time.
- That brings me to the idea of body-conscious clothing. Who wants to sacrifice comfort and confidence to be sexy? Not men and not women either. Modesty is important to a sexy look that goes outside the house.
- Layering is important for warmth and for style too, but it’s a tricky skill to master.
- Kimonos are a beloved style element. Therefore, I would advise everyone to have at least one!
- Designing a blazer without sleeves was a genius idea that created a cool look for warm-weather business…and then evolved into styles for every other occasion as well!
- Women want freedom and youth. So I always try to show how age doesn’t matter!
