How to Wear a Tunic the Best Ways
Today, I’m doing something I never do: showing “What I Wore.” It was a very hot day, and I felt totally cool and comfortable all day in this. In fact, I was getting cold in our air-conditioned house and started looking for a jacket or warm shawl or afghan! It’s great for summer so it inspired me to talk about how to wear a tunic in the best ways. Age doesn’t matter.
I bought this silky charcoal tunic from Zara after seeing it on another blogger. She had tucked it loosely into her jeans. I can’t remember who it was, but she looked great!
When I received this in the mail, I was surprised that it was so long. I can’t imagine tucking it into pants, but I can imagine tucking it into a skirt.
I know it would look great over a dress extender. If you would like to find out more about dress extenders, see my article “What in the World is a Skirt Extender?”
This tunic would also look good over a short-sleeve or long-sleeve t-shirt. Since it’s a tunic, leggings or skinny jeans or jeggings would be necessary objects as well.
When the cold weather returns, the tunic could be layered under a sweater or cardigan or jacket with tights or fleece leggings and boots. Then you could also add a warm scarf or shawl.

I love tunics! In fact my go to formula is a tunic and leggings or jeggings.

That has been my go-to formula and that’s what I wore today (only 78 degrees Farenheit.)…until this hot summer descended upon us! In the heat, my go-to outfits have been skirts, dresses and kaftans.
