The Beauty Spotlight Team has a variety of tips to help all women enjoy a better lifestyle. By that, I’m referring to the following five topics in particular:
a Style Tip from Your True Self Blog,
a perfume oil that Lola’s Secret Beauty Blog loves,
the unveiling of the best unlined bras by Barbie’s Beauty Bits,
a closet revamp by Style Yourself Confident, and
a yummy gift for Mother’s Day recommended by Never Say Die Beauty.
I’d say that’s quite a wide scope of advice that can definitely help women get a much better lifestyle when all rolled into one! Age doesn’t matter because there’s something for absolutely everyone.

As spring comes on, it’s time for the annual swap of putting away our heavy winter clothes and pulling out our light and bright springtime things to wear. In my last blog post, “How to Really Enjoy the Transition to Warm Weather,” I gave you outfit ideas for the changing temps. Now it’s time to give our closets a spring cleaning. So I have some handy tips to share with you on how to spring clean your closet.
I love being able to add to my beautiful wardrobe, but I struggle to get rid of things. I have these ideas that someday I might need them or want them or that I should hang on to less-than-ideal basics until I can find the ideal version.
I am always trying to better organize what I do have. It makes it much easier to come up with new outfit ideas when you can see the colors and types of clothing clearly. And besides, I like things to be neat and orderly. Perhaps you do, too. Age doesn’t matter; it’s our inner peace that’s important. And order creates calm mornings and inner happiness, and a beautiful home and beautiful clothes to live in.
In my efforts to control clutter in my closet and wardrobe, I collect tips on how to accomplish this. My favorite guide to transitioning my wardrobe from winter to spring is my post on “How to Clean Out Your Closet for Spring in 6 Easy Steps” in my Check Lists and Guides category. With that already available to you (just click on the title to link to it), I am posting here today some tips to consider on getting things under control.
Since Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing sold over eight million copies in over 40 countries and stayed on the New York Times best-selling list for so long, it’s obvious that people around the world are plagued by clutter. I assume age doesn’t matter because clearing clutter is an ongoing situation.
In my recent blog post “How to Make More Outfits Out of What You Have,” I provided a list of the basic wardrobe items you need to have or buy for spring and summer. In this post, I am giving you tips and links to help you get rid of excess clothes that make it difficult to get dressed and look your best.
A few years ago, I came across an article by Alison Syrett at Lucky Shops (now defunct), “How To Clean Out Your Closet For Spring: Six Easy Steps To Start Now.” I tried her system because it broke down the seasonal wardrobe changeover into one task a week for six weeks. Age doesn’t matter; I’ll bet we can always use an easier way to do things.
You never know (in Michigan, anyway) when the warm weather will stay. Many years, I would put away my Winter things and pull out my Spring/Summer clothes when the weather got nice and then a cold snap would send me looking for things I had just put away. What a drag! A gradual changeover works so much better and gives you the time to get things taken care of at the dry cleaners, the shoe repair and the place where you donate your old things.
So here it is: I am now sharing with you this super easy and effective system! Continue Reading
