While self-quarantining at home, this is the perfect time to explore how to style pajamas as daywear. And then as we gather in public again, this is always a comfortable style that can be made chic for around town and for evenings. Age doesn’t matter!
So today I’d like to explore ten ways to wear pajamas as daywear, along with some tips to help inspire you further. Even if you stay at home, you’ll look like you’re actually dressed! Best of all, you can drop into bed at the end of a tiring day without changing…or rather, my favorite is to get up in the morning already dressed. 😉 All you have to do is accessorize for day.
When my kids were in high school, the girls started wearing pajama pants to school in place of their regular pants, skirts or jeans. And they managed to look perfectly normal. After that, I learned from my daughter that I could go about town in pajama pants as long as they looked presentable (such as plaid, etc.) So if I was just going to run out to the store or something like that, I would wear a t-shirt and a pair of plaid pajama pants with street shoes and accessories.
In the last few years, designers have been creating pajama sets for day that are made of luxe materials and look quite glamorous. For instance, the Johnny Was catalog sells some nice ones (see above.) An updated pajama set can be made of satin or velvet. And a velvet pajama set that has a camisole top can actually be used year round.
