After learning the news of her passing, I found a large number of Iris Apfel’s famous quotes. She left her personality permanently stamped upon our society loud and clear with design, fashion and words of wisdom. In her memory, I’ve decided to share her thoughts. Please accept my apologies for being absent over the past week. But, I have a doctor’s excuse: I suddenly ended up in the hospital for surgery and was not released for a week. I’m grateful that I was able to celebrate my birthday with my beloved family beforehand. I am now at home with my husband taking good care of me while I recuperate.
