I want to thank all of you who are following my blog posts! Your comments are very inspiring to me. I appreciate every single time you click the “like” button on my posts. However, I have perceived barriers in looking for an audience for my niche of “fashion and lifestyle for women over 60.” So I have been wondering how I can engage women of this age. Then it came to me: since my specialty is outfit ideas and I explore styles timelessly so that age doesn’t matter, I don’t have to narrow myself down to age 60 and over. No one wants to be narrowed down by age anyway. Truly, age doesn’t matter and all styles can be adapted to enhance the qualities of your true self. I’ve decided to drop the age restriction of women over 60 from my niche. Instead I am going to focus on how to get outfit ideas and age doesn’t matter.
Did you know when you dress in a colorful way with artistic flair you project an air of youthfulness? See how to dress like an artist and look young by being yourself and having fun!
As I was looking at pictures of ladies who refuse to “dress their age,” I was struck by the thought that their color play and artfulness make them look full of energy. Age doesn’t matter when you have playful energy, because that translates to “young.”
So let’s take a look at these artistic fashionistas of a certain age, and see what they’re doing. Let them inspire us to set our true selves free! Start a style bucket list. Wear what you always wished you could, but didn’t. Do your thing!
There used to be articles showing what to wear in your 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. Then I saw articles showing what to wear in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Then, once in awhile, I began to see a couple of articles showing what to wear in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and beyond. When I was in my 50’s, though, I didn’t necessarily want to wear what was shown for my age category. For instance, I like a more laid-back, bohemian look than “a suit or fitted blazer.” Now, tell me, do you want to be told what to wear in your 60’s?
You can google articles that tell you all sorts of things that you cannot wear in your 60’s, and some things that you can…mostly, there are lists of what you cannot wear anymore. I’m sorry, I disagree. I have found that age doesn’t matter.
